Chiavari Chair

The Chiavari is the chair most guests picture when they hear "wedding rental", and that familiarity is its strength. The slatted back is recognisable from across a room, the frame stacks and moves easily on delivery day, and it comes in silver, gold, white, clear and black, so one chair style can serve a ceremony, a reception and a cocktail area without the room looking mismatched.

Because the shape is neutral, the finish does the styling. Gold and white lean romantic and traditional, silver and clear read cooler and more modern, and black suits evening and black-tie rooms. Couples with large guest lists often pick the Chiavari for the whole room and spend the saved budget on a statement bar, draping or a velvet-seated chair for the head table.
